Weather in Sydney

Australia enjoys its summer while Europe shivers. It can get very hot, but it's great weather for the beach. However, with a temperate climate and more than 340 days of sunshine per year, you can enjoy the city year-round. Huge events during the summer, such as the Sydney Festival and Mardi Gras draw big crowds of international visitors. As a result, prices for airfare and accommodations tend to be lower in the winter.
