Best time to visit

Hot and humid in the summer months. Mild in winter months and cooler in the mountains. Temperatures range from highs in January of 10°C (50°F) and lows of 0°C (32°F), to an average high of 33°C (90°F) in July and a low of 21°C (70°F).

Required clothing

Lightweight cotton clothing is recommend for the sultry summer weather. Warm clothing for evenings in the spring and autumn, and during the winter season. Waterproof clothing recommended year-round.
