Driving to Kuwait
Travellers are advised against using all road links with raq due to political instability within Iraq. The border into Saudi Arabia is not open to tourists. If you have a visa for Saudi Arabia, you can use the Al-Nuwaisib crossing (for Damman) or the Al-Salmy crossing (for Riyadh).
There are bus services between Kuwait City and Cairo (Egypt), via Aqaba in Jordan and Nuweiba in Egypt. Buses also operate to Damman in Saudi Arabia. Kuwait Public Transport Company (tel: +965 2232 8501; www.kptc.com.kw) is the main operator.
Getting to Kuwait by boat
