Passports
To enter Iraq, your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date you arrive and have at least one blank page.
Visas
Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Iraq for tourism purposes.
Citizens of all EU member states, as well as those from Australia, Canada, China, France, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, must apply for an e-visa online before entering Iraq by land, air, or sea. The application can be completed via the official portal: https://eservice.evisa.iq/.
Visa Note
Travellers going to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) can submit visa applications through the official e-visa portal of the Kurdistan Regional Government. Alternatively, visas may also be obtained on arrival. Please note that both the e-visa and visa on arrival are valid for travel within the Kurdistan Region only.

If you are a citizen of an EU member state, Australia, Canada, China, France, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the United States, you can apply online for a visa. All other nationals are advised to contact the nearest Iraqi consulate for visa information and application procedures.

Allow at least two weeks for visa processing.

You should be prepared to show that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay in Iraq.
