Where to stay in Slovenia

Hotels

Slovenia offers a wide range of accommodation options, catering to all tastes and budgets. From luxurious five-star hotels in cities like Ljubljana and Bled to charming boutique inns nestled in the countryside, there's something for every type of traveller. High-end hotels often boast spa facilities, gourmet dining, and stunning views, particularly in iconic locations like Lake Bled or the Adriatic coast. Mid-range and budget options are plentiful as well, including family-run gostilnas (traditional inns) and guesthouses that provide an authentic Slovenian experience.

Camping

There is a wide selection of campsites spreading across Slovenia. Many of these campsites offer excellent facilities, including electricity, water, and modern restrooms, while some also provide activities like hiking tours or water sports.

Wild camping is not officially allowed in Slovenia. Visitors should have explicit permission from the landowner before setting up camp.

Other accomodation

Visitors can enjoy a regal experience at Otočec Castle, a beautifully restored medieval castle located on an island in the Krka River. It offers luxury accommodations and exquisite dining in a setting straight out of a storybook.
