About Split Airport (SPU)

Driving to central Split from the airport is very straightforward. Simply head eastbound on highway 8 and follow the signs to the city. Alternatively you could take the more scenic route along the 409 coastal road.

Split Airport is located along the Adriatic coast, 6km (4 miles) from Trogir to the west and 13km (8 miles) fromKaštela to the east. The airport is 20km (12.5 miles) from Split to the north-west.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Local buses (bus 37 and bus 38) serve the airport every 20 minutes during the day. Services are operated by Promet (tel: +385 21 407 888; www.promet-split.hr). Journey time into Split is roughly 40 minutes and the fare is approximately €3.
Shuttle: A shuttle bus from the airport to Split is organised by the Plesoprijevoz bus company (tel: +385 163 319 99; www.plesoprijevoz.hr). Buses from the airport leave shortly after the arrival of incoming flights, while buses from Split to the airport leave 90 minutes before all scheduled flights.
Taxi: Taxis (tel: +385 21 895 237) are available outside the terminal building at all times during airport operating hours. The fare into Split starts at around €35 and the trip takes about 30 minutes.
Public transport water:
Ferry: Ferries operate between the Split Airport (Resnik) ferry port and Split itself. Split Express (www.splitexpress.com) runs a high-speed service to Split, operating from a port only 500m walking distance from Split Airport. However, the ferry only runs in the high season and ceases operation around the end of September.
Terminal facilities
Money:
There is a bank offering currency exchange services on the ground floor of the passenger terminal. It is open from 0600-1300, and from 1400-2100. ATMs are also available.
Food:
The first floor and second floor has several cafés and bars as well as three restaurants.
Shopping:
The Mini Market shop is located on the ground floor. This sells a range of Croatian souvenirs and gifts, as well as newspapers and tobacco. There are also a few duty-free shops on the first floor of the airport, which offers a wide range of products including: alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, sweets, watches, sunglasses, leather goods, toys and jewellery.
Luggage:
There are lost and found counters in the arrivals hall (tel: +385 21 203 218 or +385 21 203 423). These are manned from 0600-2200 daily.
Other:
There are baby care rooms on the ground and first floor.
Airport facilities
Conference and business:
There is a VIP/business lounge on the first floor. Meetings space is available at the nearby Hotel Trogirski Dvori (tel: +385 21 885 444; www.hotel-trogirskidvori.com).
Communication Facilities:
The post office is situated on the ground floor of the terminal. Internet access is available in the main public concourse.
Disabled facilities:
There are adapted toilets and support facilities for disabled people at Split Airport. The car park has a number of spaces designated for disabled passengers. There is also a marked location in the passenger terminal where passengers can go to arrange special services.
Car parking:
The airport car park is located directly opposite the terminal building and provides space for around 500 cars. Parking for the first 15 minutes is free of charge.
