Travelling to Haiti by Rail
Driving to Haiti
The southern border crossing into Haiti from the Dominican Republic is near Malpasse/Jimani on the road linking Port-au-Prince and Santo Domingo. In the north, the crossing is at Ouanaminthe/Dajabon.
Driving note
The crossings close at dusk so it’s worth getting there in good time. Caribe Tours (www.caribetours.com.do) and Capital Coach Line (www.capitalcoachline.com) offer coach services between Port au Prince and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
