Flores de Mayo & Santacruzan
Flores de Mayo is a nationwide celebration where young girls dressed in white scatter flowers around images of the Virgin Mary. On the last day of Flores de Mayo is Santacruzan, a beauty pageant featuring national celebrities, commemorating Emperor Constantine's quest for the cross in which Jesus was crucified.

Fete de la Musique (World Music Day)
This French-founded music celebration takes place around the world, and in different locations across Manila. As well as original Filipino music, there are international acts, and the genres range from rock, indie and grunge.

Santa Anang Banak River Festival
Delightful river parade of decorated boats honouring the patroness of Taguig City – St Anne.

Dreamanila International Film Festival
A film-buffs favourite, this is a yearly international film festival, with screenings of the best contemporary and classic films from all over the world. There is also an awards ceremony.

The streets of old Manila (from Quiapo Church) are flooded by ecstatic crowds who try to touch a revered religious statue of the famous Black Nazarene. Better viewed from a safe distance.
