Travellers coming from George Town usually head south on the coastal highway known as Lebuhraya Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu (Route 3113) before merging into Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah. The drive time from George Town to Penang International Airport is about 35 minutes, but longer during peak hours.
Transfer between terminals:
All flights depart and arrive at the same terminal (albeit at different levels and sections); therefore, transferring passengers can walk.

Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Rapid Penang, the state's public bus brand, has several lines serving Penang International Airport, including 102, 306, 401, and 401E. 401E, an express bus, is the most popular choice as it uses the expressway to reach the bus terminal in George Town.
Taxis: Taxis are cheap and reliable. Give your destination address to the taxi counter, and the staff will give you a price on a docket. Get in a waiting taxi outside and pay cash to the driver on arrival at your destination. Prices are about RM5 to RM10 more than an e-hailing service. Surcharges will apply from midnight to early morning.
E-hailing or ride-hailing: Grab operates in Penang and can pick up passengers from Penang International Airport. The pick-up area is just beyond the (airport) taxi service. However, beware that you may face many cancellations and wait for a long time.
