Passports

To enter Kyrgyzstan, a passport valid for six months on the date of entry, with one blank page, is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.

Holders of a visa for Kyrgyzstan require a passport valid for at least six months beyond the expiration date of their visa, with at least two blank pages.

Visas

Visas are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above for stays of up to 60 days within any 120 days.

Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements for Kyrgyzstan.

e-visa:

Nationals of all countries can apply for an e-visa for stays up to 30 or 60 days with touristic or business purposes when arriving or travelling via the international airports Manas and Osh or via one of ten designated border crossings.

Types and Cost

A variety of single-, double- and multiple-entry visas are available, including tourist visas and ordinary visas (for business travellers).

Information about the current visa fees can be obtained at the responsible consular department.

Validity

Tourist visas are usually valid for one month. Ordinary (business) visas are valid for up to a year and can be extended annually up to five years.

Transit

Transit visas are usually valid for five days.

Working days

Allow five working days for visa processing, though some applications may take longer. Three-day processing is available for double the usual fee.

Compulsary Registration

Foreigners who want to stay in Kyrgyzstan for longer than 60 days must register with the relevant authority of the State Registration Service no later than 5 days after entry. Hotels take care of the registration for their guests. Privately accommodated foreigners must register themselves at an OWIR office and appear together with the host.

Extension of stay

Tourist visas can usually only be extended in an emergency by up to two months.
