Public Transport
Public transport road:
Bus: Bus services (Number 9, 10 and 198) between Mauritius Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, Mahebourg, Rivière des Gallets and Port Louis run quite frequently (every 10-20 minutes) throughout the day; however, these can be impractical for travellers with luggage (journey time: 60-105 minutes; fare: MUR30). The bus stop is situated in the airport’s car park area.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside the terminal building at all times. It is best to agree on a price before the journey, which takes about 45 minutes into Port Louis and should cost around MUR1,500. There is a taxi service desk (+230 5 250 5349) in the Tour Operators Hall section of Arrivals.

Money:
There are ATMs outside the arrivals hall. Currency exchange services are available in the pre-security departure area and in the arrivals area. There are bank offices in both Arrivals and Departures. VAT refunds are available for eligible departing visitors.
Food:
There are several places to eat and drink at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. A restaurant is located in the arrivals area, while another eatery in the departures area offers both fast food and à la carte menus. Further options are available after security for departing passengers.
Shopping:
Three duty-free shops are available at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, one in Departures and two in the Arrivals area. These offer a wide range of spirits, perfumes, tobacco, chocolate and more.
In addition, there are a selection of gift shops selling local products such as clothes, accessories, local spices and crafts, and newsagents selling books, magazines, cigarettes and basic pharmaceutical products. Enquiries about lost property or luggage should be made to either the information desk (tel: +230 637 3635) in the arrivals hall or at the Baggage Service Counters, adjacent to Carousel 6 in the baggage reclaim hall and in the public corridor by Gate 8. Luggage storage is not available at the airport. Luggage wrapping and repacking is available pre-security departure.
Other:
A doctor is on call at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport and there is a first aid service in the arrivals area. A children’s play area, a spa, baby changing rooms, prayer rooms, and pianos are available for passenger use in the international departures area.
