Passports
British citizens: your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay.
Other nationals: your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of entering Gambia.
Visitors to The Gambia should also have a return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds, documents showing the purpose of the trip, and documents for the next destination.
Visas
Citizens of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and the European Union (EU) can visit The Gambia and stay for 90 days without a visa.
Americans need a visa to visit The Gambia, which can be obtained before or upon entering the country (visa on arrival).
